NEWS FLASH - Queensland Government extends Building Boost Grant until 30 April 2012.




The Queensland Government has introduced the $10,000 Queensland Building Boost Grant as part of budget measures announced in June.

The Boost Grant will be available between 1 August 2011 and 30 April 2012 with eligibility criteria applying. The key points for eligibility include:

- Must be a new home (not been previously occupied or sold as a place of residence)
- The value of the home (including the land) is less than $600,000
- Open to Home Buyers and Investors (18+ years of age). Corporations and Trustees may also apply
- Contract must be made between 1 August 2011 and 30 April 2012
- Building work must commence within twenty six (26) weeks of the date of the Contract
- Building work must be completed within eighteen (18) months of the work starting
- The Home must be first occupied as a place of residence during ownership
- The grant can be obtained for each new home purchased (can obtain more than one grant)
- The grant is only payable once for a particular new home
- First Home Owners can receive Boost Grant (as well as $7,000 First Home Owner Grant)
